Released Corporate Gift Guide

Make your clients feel appreciated this festive season.

Make your clients feel appreciated this festive season.

We’ve talked about the three carefully selected values that form the foundation of Released and what we do: GROW, GATHER, and GIVE. With Christmas fast approaching, it’s time to take a closer look at that last one.

GIVE is about giving back, generosity of heart, and all of those lovely non-tangible things. But we also love a good gift to show our appreciation and make people feel special.

Many people will tell you that giving gifts is about the gesture rather than the gift itself, and they’re not wrong. However, we figure that if we’re giving presents, we might as well make them good ones! After many years making clients happy at Christmas, we thought it was about time to put together a great gift guide for business owners.

Deck the halls with boughs of Pōhutukawa and behold our Kiwi corporate gift guide.

Buy local

We’re a Kiwi-owned business. Our work is virtual administration services for other small NZ businesses. It’s probably no surprise that it’s important to us to buy local; to purchase and gift products made and sold here in Aotearoa.

After the past few years, they need it more than ever! So our corporate gift guide is all about buying local and supporting our fellow Kiwi business owners.

Beer and other beverages

Look, we work primarily with tradies. Of course beer is high up on the list. Nice drinks, whether boozy or more family-friendly, are always welcome—particularly as we move into the warmer months. In the southern hemisphere, we recommend that you avoid red wines and heavy liqueurs and stick to fun summer bevvies suited to BBQs and backyard cricket spectating.

Here are some favourites:

Good George

Perhaps the best thing to come out of Hamilton, this brewery makes a wide range of different craft beers to suit all tastes. There’s even cider and gin available, making this a one-stop shop for your corporate gift orders.

Cassels

This South Island brewery won “Best American Style Pale Ale” in the World Beer Awards 2021, so if your clients like a good APA, you know where to get it.

Sawmill

We love that this Matakana-based brewery is a B-Corp and has teamed up with the BLAKE foundation to encourage environmental awareness and kaitiakitanga. An eco-friendly gift!

Garage Project

This well-loved Kiwi beer brand is based in Wellington, so if you’re down near the capital this could be the way to go.

Blush Gin

If you’re looking for something stronger, this distillery makes great gin in beautiful bottles. A fantastic high-end gift.

Tasty treats

Everyone loves to eat. And at Christmastime, delicious bits and pieces to add to a party platter will never go amiss. Edible presents are common for a reason—they’ll always be used and enjoyed.

New Zealand has plenty of makers out there creating tasty things that you can give as corporate gifts. If you’re stuck for ideas, take a squizz at our list.

OCHO

Chocolate is a surefire winner. But your clients can go down to the supermarket and pick up a block of Dairy Milk themselves. So make it something special, like the range of amazing flavours and products crafted by OCHO (Otago Chocolate Company). They oversee the process from bean to bar, creating ethical goodness in their Dunedin base.

Sweet Disorder

If you’d like to go full sugary sweetness, take a look at this Kiwi company. They source most of their delicious product range in New Zealand, and package them up into fun gifts with cheeky labels. There are Christmas-themed ones available, too!

Karaka Kitchen

For beautiful baked goods in the Auckland region, you can’t go past this delicious-looking online store. Christmas cookies and cakes are available!

Home Baked

In Wellington, this company makes and delivers beautifully-packaged classic Kiwi treats. A fantastic festive gift for any client—and it saves you doing the baking yourself.

Pepper & Me

This is something a little different—moving away from the sweet and ready-to-eat, we have this Kiwi company making delicious rubs, salts, grinds, pastes, sauces, and other gourmet additions that make meals amazing. Perfect for keen cooks. If you’re organised, they even do a fantastic advent calendar with fun culinary surprises provided daily.

Kohkoz

Another savoury option, this is the home of excellent Lebanese food in New Zealand. Their award-winning dips are to die for, and make the perfect addition to a party platter in the holiday season.

Edible Blooms

This fantastic Kiwi company combines the fun of flowers with all the best treats to create unforgettable statement gifts your clients will love. From donut cakes and gourmet gift boxes to stunning bouquets made of fruit, bubbles, beers, chocolate, and more, we LOVE these edible masterpieces.

Useful products

If edible (and drinkable) gifts aren’t your cuppa tea, you’ll want to find a present that’s useful and not just token. These items are great options with fairly broad appeal.

Huski Coolers

Yes, this one’s beer-related again. But like we said, most of our clients are tradies. These bottle coolers, wine coolers, and other beverage-related products are created by Kiwis and lead the market in “performance drinkware.”

Kubb Brothers

For a premium and thoughtful gift, why not give your clients one of these handcrafted Kubb sets? This popular lawn game is perfect for summer BBQs.

Handsy

Here’s something unique: you can give your clients something tangible and an experience at the same time. Handsy has on offer some awesome kits which contain everything necessary to make your own piece of pottery.

Little Koha

This company allows you to put together custom gift boxes, with items from an array of hand-picked NZ makers. These are all chosen for their eco-friendly and ethical practices, and include food and drink but also pamper products, candles, homewares, and more.

Award+winning+virtual+assistant+agency

Another great place to look is on Chooice, the Kiwi-made collective which brings together a wide range of small New Zealand makers and sellers. Browse the site for some fantastic gift ideas.
